Okay- first off I haven't been blogging with the regularity I meant to, so I am going to give myself deadlines to help get me doing this regularly again. I have been traveling a lot for work and I keep up my training but it gets me out of life's routines. Enough with my excuses- moving on!
So I ran a 10k on New Years day. Same route as Thanksgiving and same time- 1:05. I have been logging a long run every weekend, and one run during the week usually. It is hard when you are in New England and it is dark at 400. My next planned race is in February in New Mexico. A friend has started doing the couch to 5k plan so we can run together when I visit. More to come on this in another blog.
I am also having a hard time with my weight loss due to training. I seem to not be able to drop anymore weight. Gluten Free helps me feel better and I dropped weight initially. But it all seems to be stuck even though I train about a hour about 5-6 days a week. It gets to be very frustrating. But a friend has offered to do a functional medical test on me to see what the issue could be- I am awaiting results. More to come on that!
Well that's the basic update as of now. I have not signed up for the half ironman yet. I wanted to get this diet and metabolic issue taken care of- but I think I am close to clicking the sign up button. I did just sign up for a half marathon. Hope all is going well with everyone. Happy New Year!
