So I decided to take the plunge this season and sign up for Timberman 70.3 on 21 Aug in New Hampshire. I know I have the swim in the bag. The bike is gonna take A LOT of work. My runs seem to be coming along nicely. I know this is not going to be an easy undertaking but I don't fool myself with any thoughts of a goal or even placing in this event! I just know this is a goal to finish race.
Since this will be my big race this year I will do mostly racing to prep for that- as opposed to my past 2 seasons of um I feel like racing this weekend race schedule. This is going to be different for me. I have a actual race schedule May 8th is the season opener sprint tri in hopkinton, june 5th worcester half marathon, june 25th 1 mi swim, july 10th mill city olympic distance, and then the big one Timberman!
It is going to be an exciting season. I am terrified about the bike and terrified to put it all together in one day. But I have plenty of time to train. This is going to hopefully be an exciting season ahead!
Keep your head in the game and you will do just fine. Seems as if you will bring all together no problem. I wish you the best on the training and racing. Looking forward to following the progress / results. 3, 2, 1, Go.
